I believe these would suit us best
when it comes to our striker summer signings for us.
i favour Jonathon David and Hugo Ekitike to be the most suitable first two signings.

Both Chelsea & Liverpool are rumoured to be readying bids for Ekitike and BTW its Jonathan

Re: I believe these would suit us best
I would add Aaron Hickey at Bologna to that list

Another Scottish left back who looks like he has the potential to be as good as Andy Robertson or Kieran Tierney who we both missed out on.

Third time lucky?

Re: I believe these would suit us best
Nope.

Andrea Belotti - and we should be talking to him now.

Twnety-eight years old, so at his prime. Out of contract in the summer, proven Serie A goalscorer in a relatively 'weak' side, Italian international and speaks some English already. Hard-worker, trains tough and doesn't put his hands on hips during games - a Moyes player.

Also on good terms with Oggy.

There is not a more suitable (for us) forward available this summer. And if we had an ounce of ambition, we'd be in the hunt for him.

Some other good strikers are available. But if we don't make a call or two about Belotti, then we're not working hard enough in the transfer market.

I think you are spot on about Belotti..........someone will beat us to him tho!

I agree, we should be all over Belotti. I think he’d be perfect for us, hard working, passionate and good finisher

Re: I believe these would suit us best
Belotti does look like he'd suit us well. Apparently Torino offered him about €70k a week to renew so we ought to be able to do better than that. Missed a lot of games this season through injury though and wasn't in the best of form anyway (4 goals in 26 games in last 12 months).

Interesting how Torino have fared without their captain this season. Belotti's played 10 league games (W3, L7) and missed 14 (W6 D5 L3) so they haven't missed him at all. Smells a bit of Harry Kane syndrome.

Worrying how much work we have to do in the summer transfer window.

Let's hope Rice stays and we can get in 4/5 really good players.

Belotti on a free would be a very good start. I'm sure he will have tons of offers.

Loads of talent out there we just need to get them through the door.

Re: I believe these would suit us best
Don't get your hopes up. We're never going to sign another player. There isn't a player in the world that's good enough for Moyes. He's waiting for the perfect player to be born.

Re: I believe these would suit us best
We should be talking to Belotti, at least to see if it's worth our time or not.

But absolutely no chance we are that forward thinking based on previous experience.

We will wait until he has agreed a contract elsewhere and then put an offer in and say that "we tried".

We’re done discussing something that is very unlikely to happen….

Re: I believe these would suit us best
Both look decent but the step up to the Premier League is huge and the league is awash with players over the years who couldn't do it from Shevchenko to Haller.

After paying out a huge amount on Haller and having our fingers burnt, I expect the club to be more favourable towards a free transfer or a loan.

I don't think we can afford to take the risk of putting the bulk of our transfer budget on a striker that may or may not work out.

Belotti is a good and experienced player but has suffered from injuries and so the club would need to see him have a strong finish to the season before going for him.

But I would expect us to sign two forward players in the summer, One being Lingard on a free and the other being a central striker on a free. Possibly one of Belotti, Nketiah or Brereton Diaz.

I would be really surprised if we shelled out £40m + on a forward such as David or Ekitike.

From last nights Evening Standard " David Moyes has called on his attacking players to find another gear and has warned they may be replaced in the summer if they fail to step up "

Has the penny finally dropped Davey?

Re: I believe these would suit us best
Lato, i bet that has scared the shit out of Antonio who has just signed a new contract and isn't even officially a striker so he's hardly being replaced but more likely moved back to his more natural position as a winger. So we sign a striker and then the spin machine goes in to full swing telling us we have Antonio as an attacking midfielder......it'll be just like having a brand new player, we've heard it all before.

Why would we sign a striker now when weve plenty of time to sign on already and haven't.
This summer rice and bowen will be sold and the money pocketed
